The project at Whitaker Park has not only involved a lot of good, hard work from our volunteers, but, has also meant that a large portion of our funds has been used to purchase planters and ramps for the area.

 

The nature of our project, means that we are now asking if our members are able to give edible plants for the garden.  Please get in touch if you can spare anything - better still, go along and plant!

 

More importantly, we need funds to keep our project alive.  We have applied, and, are currently applying for several grants to help us in this respect, but, these can take time.

 

Whilst times are difficult for many of us, we are asking everyone if they are able to contribute something to our cause.  We have over 100 members on the Forum - anything would be a massive help.

Another way to help raise funds might be volunteers to do a stand at events like Ratenstall Fair .  Tesco community car boot, last Sunday of every month might be a way of having a clear out, raise awareness of Incredible Edible Rossendale and raise funds towards ongoing and future planting projects. Any ideas and volunteer offers apreciated : )
