We now have a treasurer!!!

After this weeks meeting we know have a treasurer Derek Jones , Heritage Kitchens, many thanks to him for volunteering. Paul and Joanna have agreed to take up publicity and marketing and I have agreed to be Chair.Matt has kindly put forward an interest in Allotment development
We will of course review this in 12 months.

here we go!!! Land presents from the council

Hi all,
exciting developments re land usage for our planting, orchards and allotments.
After meeting with Tasmin Percival yesterday, she has shown me a range of council owned sites across Rossendale which the council would be prepared to turn over to us to do with what we will.
In order for this to happen we need to show the council we have consulted with the community about what they want and have planting plans and a maintenance strategy so we can really keep on top…

Harlow Carr visit

Despite the Met Office being less than economical with the truth, a great time was had by all during our trip to RHS Harlow Carr last Saturday. Light showers didn't dampen our spirits!

Further visits being considered for summertime, but our appetites more than whetted to get growing!
