Iron Tree Rawtenstall

Hi All Mark and Tim spent a few hours on wednesday night at the Iron Tree in Rawtenstall weeding and preparing the soil for edibles etc (looks great) if anyone wants to plant there feel free. Might need the odd person to water as we cant get there every night. (Fire station might give you some water lol) Mark and Tim

Incredible Edible Todmorden receives Lottery funding

Todmorden leads the way again with the high school food hub, which has received £494,785 from the Big Lottery fund.



The state of the art food and education centre will also be funded in part by Calderdale Council, Pennine Prospects and the Primary Care Trust.



This will open up a whole area of learning for the students with a new diploma course.

And the Winner is......





We have a winner of our 'Design a IER logo' competition, or, should that be the plural?



The standard was so good that we decided to have more than one winner!



The winner of the logo design is Bethany McCormack who attends St James-the-Less Primary School in Rawtenstall. Her logo will appear on this site soon, and, will be used on all future IER projects!

WE DID IT!

We did it! Our first planters are now in-situ at the front of old library on Bacup Road in Waterfoot!

Around a dozen IER members were there bright and early this morning to assemble and plant three planters close by the bus shelter.

Made by Bootstrap, the planters look great and have a list of what's there to sample. Photo's will be on the forum shortly.

Incredible Edible Todmorden on New Zealand Radio!

IET recently had a long distance phone call from the other side of the world, literally.



Radio New Zealand, did a phone interview with Pam Warhurst, which took around half an hour to make.
