Haslingden Community Link





Despite the heavy rain today, volunteers were present at Haslingden Community Link to position two planters and fill with lovely fruit and herbs.



The planters each contain a redcurrant plant with several unusual varieties of herbs around them, and, are situated at the front of the Link car-park by the 'wildlife garden.



Next time you're passing, go and have look - maybe even try something new!…

Rossendale Markets hit the airwaves





Rossendale Markets are being advertised on local radio for the first time as part of Rossendale Council's ongoing strategy to revitalise the markets in Bacup, Haslingden and Rawtenstall.

Co-op named Green Supermarket of the Year



The Co-operative Group has been named Green Supermarket of the Year at the prestigious Grocer Gold Awards in London, beating off competition from Tesco, Ocado and Morrisons.



The award was given to the retailer that had done the most in the past year to reduce its impact on the environment and change consumer behaviour.
