Wonderful sunshine and volunteers turned out on the Park today.
Apple trees planted by Civic Pride and a beautiful Buddlea for our butterfly friends. Park Rd Beds are starting to look so much better, amazing how adding colour, mix with a bit of sunshine and everyone seems to smile more and take time to say Hello.
We definately know people are noticing and appreciating the difference when passed an envelope with a simple Thankyou on from a passerby with a gift…

Whitaker Park Opening - Nearly There!
After a long, long time, we are almost there!
The long awaited 'official' opening of our Gardens is upon us, and, the weather looks as though it's going to be fine!

Despite the weather yesterday, we had a very positive appearance at The Rawtenstall Fair. Lots of interest in IERoss and lots of people saying they would be attending the opening.

First Pea Pods and Sowing More Stuff
Hi again, time for an update I thought especially as we have been busy as everything is growing like mad at the moment and I’ve been sowing more seeds. A Plea for plants at Whitaker Park
With just two and a half weeks left until the official opening of our Whitaker Park garden, we still need some edible fruit/vegetable/herb plants to fill in a few gaps.
Do you have anything you can spare?
If every member gave just one item, we could have almost another 120 plants!! It's that easy!
