What a great day at the Valley Centre yesterday, and, so much achieved!
Caroline did a great job on publicity in Rawtenstall town centre - we had loads of people coming into the Valley Centre to see what we were up to. We also had around 20 helpers throughout the day and managed to get far more done than we anticipated.
We were even visited by BBC North West and appeared on their evening news programme!

This weekend is another important occasion for Incredible Edible Rossendale.
On Saturday and Sunday we are planting at the Valley Centre in Rawtenstall town centre. Another great spot for us to plant in a very public area.
The Council have given us a large walled garden, and, the perimeter of a huge meeting area.
In the walled garden we plan to plant fruits – redcurrants, raspberries, gooseberries, blueberries, rhubarb and strawberries.

There have certainly been some big changes in the centre of Rawtenstall of late with the demolition of the old Valley Centre.
Council plans for a huge Community area to be built in its place are now coming to fruition, and, Incredible Edible Rossendale have been given a great walled garden area to plant in!
This is a brilliant opportunity to be part of a big change in the centre of Rawtenstall, and of course, further increase the profile of our group.
