Anyone can grow their own food; even on a small scale all you need is just one pot, some compost (preferably peat free and organic)
and some seeds. However, before you start here are some things you might

Not only can you get chickens and lots of chickenny advice from Bull Hall Barn, you can also do the same at the other end of the Valley!

Cronkshaw Fold Farm in Helmshore is a working hill farm and offers many attractions.

Get your chickens from Bacup!





Bacup now has its own chicken shop – not the ‘ready to roast’ type, but, organically raised, point of lay birds.

Incredible Apple Day



Come and join our friends at Incredible Edible Ramsbottom this Saturday!



They are planning an Apple Day to celebrate our success at the orchard at Greenmount.



As well as planting apple trees in Nuttall Park we’re hiring an apple

press so that people can bring along their apples and have really fresh

juice.



There will be lots of children’s activities such as apple bobbing and various competitions.
