Anyone up for a bit of tree planting ?

Awesome another 105 trees donated by the Woodland Trust to Rossendale, this time for hedgerow aimed at promoting local wildlife and biodiversity in Edgeside Park whilst providing perimeter cover for the new childrens play area. That's 1,905 trees arriving in November all going to need planting between Incredible Edible Rossendale, Edgeside Park Group, Civic Pride, Whitworth High school and Haslingden Community Link. Watch out for opportunities to get involved in planting throughout November !!!

Calling All Bacup Incredibles!

We have now agreed a legal licence to take on, plant, and, look after a small plot of land in Bacup Town Centre.

The land is a good sized walled planter on the end of the row of terraced houses at 5-17 Yorkshire Street adjacent to the old Health Centre.  This is the street that starts at the roundabout in the centre of Bacup (outside REAL) and goes up the hill towards Todmorden.  This will be a great Incredible Edible welcome to Rossendale!

If you…

One hour a month is all it takes to change our world

One hour from every IER volunteer could make such a difference. Whether you get involved in tidying, planting, caring for or harvesting an IER site, an hour looking at funding applications to support our work, or an hour spent maning a stand at community events aimed at raising awareness of the IER principles / engaging volunteers. I have been doing some reading about this guild and i'll copy and paste a little as some people have already written so much about this already and i can't really put it across any better than they already have !

Plant first the…
