Yesterday will be remembered for a long, long time!
In the morning, Joanna and I travelled to the Southport Theatre & Convention Centre to collect an award in the RHS It's Your Neighbourhood presentations. We knew we were receiving an award, but, had no idea what it would be.

We have now agreed a legal licence to take on, plant, and, look after a small plot of land in Bacup Town Centre.
The land is a good sized walled planter on the end of the row of terraced houses at 5-17 Yorkshire Street adjacent to the old Health Centre. This is the street that starts at the roundabout in the centre of Bacup (outside REAL) and goes up the hill towards Todmorden. This will be a great Incredible Edible welcome to Rossendale!

An idea when you are planning your garden for next year is looking at companion planting and in particular Guilds. The most famous Guild that i learned about when i was doing my permaculture course is the Three Sisters Guild of Corn, Squash and Beans. I have been doing some reading about this guild and i'll copy and paste a little as some people have already written so much about this already and i can't really put it across any better than they already have !
Plant first the…Continue
