My friends on Rossendale online have shared the link to the freecycle service for fruit...check it out !!!

Remember any local fruit or vegetable donations welcome in time for harvest festival on October 2nd...all will then be turned in to delicious dishes to share at a community meal celebrating harvest after completion of the interfaith walk on October 9th . The walk starts from Rawtenstall Bocholt tree at 2pm, walking to Irwell church, then back to Rawtenstall ( unless anyone prefers the option of taking East Lancs train back) where there will be food, craft activities and family fun at St Mary's church.
